Heath from Longton
« on: Sunday 14 January 07 10:44 GMT (UK) »
Any one research or is connected to the following Heath family from the Longton area. I have a brick wall 1901-1911

The line so far

Correction   CHARLES HEATH married ALICE MAUD HODGKINSON in 1927  It was Derek Heath that married Mary Jane BYATT

His dad, Charles married Alice Maud Hodgkinson st St James, Longton in 1927
Charles has a brother called Edward

Now I am at the brick wall, the person who I am helping can not go back any further

Regards
Alf

Perhaps obtaining the marriage certificate of 1927 would be best.  This way ages and parents names would be known and one could go on from there.

The other marriage in 1934 -is that the correct date??

Hi Jude

I have corrected the original message   The information given to ne wasd incorrect.  Now I have been told that Charles who married Alice, his father was called Thomas, known as Tommy Stead

This is a Longton family going back to year, dot. I shall be going to Longton Cemetery later on to find some graves that are there

regards
Alf

Well duff info is our by-word here! ;D. We all get in once in a while.

If Derek is the son of Charles and Charles is the son of Thomas then one should be able to track them down.

What's with the aka last name of Stead - was it just local or something else eg adoption?? for Charles??

The chap I am doing the research for asked his aunt  (who is her late 80's) if she knew anything about Charles or who his parents were  and that is what she came out with, that he was called Thomas Heath but known as Tommy Stead. May be he has got and interesting background that she knows about.
