2 Counties?
« on: Monday 15 January 07 21:09 GMT (UK) »
Elizabeth Edwards b 1832 Llanfihangel.

In the Family search i can find her birth with the parents David & Mary.[ the parents i believe to be correct ]. as Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr Merionethshire.

But, when i click on the 'Source' at the bottom of the page it shows me that the source was the Bishop's transcripts from Llanfihangel Denbighshire. Glyn Myfyr

Can someone explain the reasoning behind 2 different counties please . Family Search shows Elizabeth's birth as an 'extracted'  source which i believe can be usually relied on as accurate?  Poli.

If you look at the Genuki page for Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr you wil see that the ancient Parish comtained one Township lying in Merionethshire,whilst the others were in Denbighshire.See;

Thanks for that. I kept finding this relative as being born in both counties and i was getting so confused. I'll make a note of it for my FTMaker. Poli. :)
