Kelly family in Ireland

Can anyone help me with this query. My husband's G.G. Grandfather was John Kelly 1827 (according to census) I have picked him and family up on census in Liverpool and he married Mary Colville 1826 Scotland in 1846 and they are down as living in Portland Street at that time. I cannot find them on the 1841 census though the Colvilles are in Portland Street. I know from details passed down through the family that he was born in Droheda, Ireland and on his marriage cert his father was Philip Manager of a Cotton Mills. Is there any way I can find out more or must I accept that this is far back as I can get. Julie

Hi Kelly/P
You say Droheda/ I think you will find the name is Drogheda, a Barony in Co, Louth.
Drogheda is a Barony in the Province of Leinster, you will have to search a civil Parish I would say try Ballymakenny.

Hi Kelly there is very little you can do on line, at the moment.
A trip to Ireland yes. Or depending if you want to spend.
