EVISONS in Hundleby, 1861
« on: Tuesday 16 January 07 08:36 GMT (UK) »
It appears that the village of Hundleby, or at least that bit containing my Evisons, escaped the 1841 and 1851 censuses.
I would much appreciate a look-up of the 1861 for these two:
Jane Evison who died aged 78 in Hundleby in 1870
John Evison who died aged 67 in Hundleby in 1861
They may or may not be related.
Many thanks.
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

Thanks Geoff.  Perhaps the others were wrongly indexed in the same way.  Could you try for William b.1824 with parents Edward and Jane.  :-*

Thanks, Geoff - but where was William in 1841 and 1851  ??? ???

In 1851, he was with parents (as stated earlier) ... and Mary -

Swaby
Johnson PATCHETT 59 AgLab and Grocier*, Swaby
Sarah 49 Grociers* wife, Thoresby
William 9 Schollar, Swaby
Daniel 6 Schollar, Swaby
Ann Maria 5 Home, Swaby
Mary EVISON (Visiter) 25 Lab Wife, Swaby
Philip 2 Home, S Somercotes

It's possible that this is Grazier but, clearly, the enumerator was not the greatest of spellers.  Also on the page were several "Weelrights".

You may find the following marriage useful

William EVISON (son of John) to Mary Ann PATCHETT (dau of Johnson) 13 June 1848 at Swaby.
