army cyclist corps
« on: Saturday 20 January 07 00:01 GMT (UK) »
I have just got the medal roll for my grandfather and he was in the army cyclist corps, I have two questions 1. I'm hopeing to go to Kew soon, how would I find more details on him?
2. Under remarks it says c l (I think it's l) Z 13.6.19 I take it that is the date he was discharged but what does cl and z mean?

If you can post the medal index card we can help you before you go to Kew.

As for Cl Z = Z Class, discharge to the reserve army. If he was needed he would have been called up again.

Thanks for explaining what cl Z means, I have attached the medal card ( I hope) and would value any advice in searching for his records at Kew.
