You give very little info, but I can tell you that the surname is very plentiful in the Cork city area.  You will need to be a great deal more specific to pin down any relevant info as Cliffords abound in that area.

There are indeed LOTS of Cliffords in Co. Cork. I have research on Cliffords that went from Cork to Cardiff/England and then some went on to America. Names were George, Catherine, Michael, etc. all common Irish names.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I have a Ellen Clifford b.1848 from Newmarket,Co.Cork in my family tree there is a good few Cliffords in this area still. Newmarket is around 20miles from Mallow.

Timothy O'Connell married Ellen Clifford
Lived: Glenamuckla, Newmarket
Children: Julia b.26/10/1871, Mary, James
