Where is Miles Piditty ?

I have a birth place as "Miles Piditty, Lancashire" but cannot find where it is.

Has anyone ever come across it ?  I have googled, but nothing.

The wife is from Miles Piditty, but the other family members are shown as born in Stalybridge, Cheshire and Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire.

Could it be Miles Platting, Manchester?

Maybe just illegible handwriting on census...!!

The 1881 image definatly says Miles Platting although its a bit squiggly

Thanks to both for the "Miles Platting"  info.

Question for Joe, which image are you referring to ?  ???

The 1881 info (from LDS) that "says" Miles Piditty is RG11 4040 51 34
