1851 census lookup please - Westcott

Hi,

Hoping that some kind soul can help with a lookup on the 1851 census for Exeter.

I'm looking for James Westcott, born c. 1826/7 in Exeter.  On the 1881 census he is a general labourer living at 33 Coombe Street, Exeter St. Mary Major - I haven't been able to find him anywhere before this.

Hi Nell,

That was a bit quick !!

Unfortunately, it's neither of these two as I've found them both on the 1881 census along with my James.  If you only have a few 'near misses', I'd love to have the details, but don't worry about it if you have loads

Unfortunately all the children I know about were born in or after 1852, but I'll give you their names in case you find any near misses with family members of the same names - they were Albert (possibly Inkerman Albert), Ellen and Lucy.

Thanks loads Nell - I really appreciate it! 

 I know this was a bit of a vague request - I hate asking for lookups with so little info, but I was really stuck on this one - I haven't been able to find them on the 1871 either. 
I will do some digging through all the lovely info you sent - I'll let you know how I get on.  The James/Ellen/John looks very promising (she says hopefully) as it's the right age for James and just round the corner from where he lived in 1881 (and where his children all lived in subsequent censuses). Also my one had a daughter called Ellen... It might help me find them on the earlier censuses at least!

Unfortunately, this isn't my James - I've found this one alongside mine on the 1881 census - this one turns out to be the hairdresser that Nell found the first time too!
