Charles Joseph Hoare
« on: Sunday 04 February 07 12:14 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for a Charles Joseph Hoare born approx 1880, he was a Lighterman in the Lambeth/Wandsworth area.
he had a daughter Catherine who was born 1903 and she married in 1926, at that time she lived at 41 Thorncroft Street, Wandsworth Road.  I am guessing at his birth date just thinking he would have been about 20ish when Catherine was born.

Thanks for any help

Hi Chellin,

I can see a birth for a Charles Joseph Hoare in Dec 1872 Wandsworth 1d 586, with a possible marriage in Dec 1896 1d 110 to either Alice Mary Champion or Ellen Walker. Will try to find him in 1901.
Any idea what Catherine's mother's name was? Are you aware of any of her elder siblings?

Pleasure, Chellin  :)

Must say I'm not having much luck with 1881 or 1891 for now...  :-\

Oh I do remember she had a younger sister called Alice so that looks like she was named after the mother and I think a younger one called Rose, thats all I know I'm afraid.

Dont know of any of the older siblings
