looking fo any info on Selina Winn Scarborough born 1855 Kikstall ( I think)

may be a few permutations of the first and second names 

she married John Sumpner and was living in Leeds in 1901

Have you got their marriage certificate?    It is on the FreeBMD on www.ancestry.co.uk and all the birth images are also free to search on that site if you choose the complete version.
Anyway, a marriage certificate would confirm her father's name and make it easier to find her on earlier census.  I was quite surprised that there are several of that name in the records.

Her birth is registered in Hunslet in the Jan/Mar quarter of 1855.    The reference number is very hard to read.  If you write to the local register office they will not need the number so that might be a way forward.   I can find her in every census after she marries but am not having much luck before that.
