florence.....

Hi...let me tell you how to do the link thingy....

I'm an old bat but once I learn it sticks with me!

OK...open a new window in IE......got to the family search page.....

go to the address box at the top of the page and hold your curser on it and click..it will turn blue....now..right click and you will get a little menu box...click on copy.

Now....when you go to you reply box...(say to Roan).....right click again and this time hit paste.

Give it a try and let's see if it works.

Elizabeth dies in 1844 and Francis in 1845 both at Dilwyn.
Getting their death Certificates may give some more details on relationships for example who registered the death etc.
Copies of these Certificates will be obtainable from Leominster Register Office, The Old Priory, Church Street, Leominster HR68EQ

Have you found the other members of the family on the 1851 census?

There is a long list of Preece baptisms at Dilwyn, including Francis son of Hannah in 1792. Looked at Counties in England on the Hugh Wallis link given.
John is down as son of Francis and Elizabeth and his son born in 1840 is Edward, mother Sarah.

Worth checking everyone one of these and plotting them as there is a probability of more children for Francis and Elizabeth.
A birth Certificate would be available for little Edward born 1840

Thanks EBN,   for the info and the address in Leominster.  I'll chase that up.

Yes, I've got all the families on the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891 and 1901!!

Thanks,
