List of occupations
« on: Saturday 17 February 07 12:37 GMT (UK) »
I used to have a great link to a web site that had all the occupations and what they meant, or entailed, I am sure I got it from here...but since my PC crashed at Christmas I have lost all my favourites.  I have tried a search but can't think the best search criteria, has anyone got a good link please?

The most comprehensive source is the CD "A Dictionary of Occupational Terms" occupations in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. This has 29,106 terms covering 16,837 different occupations.
