Spennymoor burial 1864
« on: Monday 19 February 07 18:45 GMT (UK) »
Hello everyone

I wonder if someone out there is able to check a burial in Spennymoor for me please.  My Mum noted this down some time ago:

George Green 21 March 1864

but I cannot find a death registration so I'm wondering if maybe she made an error when copying it down.

Thank you

Susan

Hi sooCatt

Nothing on freebmd for the selected year - are you sure it's for a death?

Tried the Spennymoor cemetery link just posted - but no joy there.

Hi Jan
The note that my Mum has is for a burial in Spennymoor.
I have looked on the gro list and cannot find the 'matching' death.  So I wondered if maybe my Mum had got the date wrong.

Is there another possibility for him not appearing in the death registration indexes?

Thanks for your interest  ;)

Died elsewhere and buried at Spennymoor?

There are a lot of death regs for George Green in 1864 but in Co Durham that I could see.

Jan

Yes. This occurred to me too.  I looked at the list of George Green's who died then in the hope that I could connect it with family living elsewhere, but no luck so far.

Back burner for this one I think  ;)

Thanks again
