Thanks for your replies Barbara and everyone. I like the suggestion of putting both names in the 'husband' box, I'll do that.   ;D
I did know about the Books option and have been messing around with that for some time. Just shows how everyone knows different bits of things and proves how valuable this site is.  ;D

trish251 mentioned the lineage box.  I had that in the first version of FTM I had, but when I added FTM ver. 5, I couldn't find it.  I'll have to try the help box.  I also under-utilize the program. There is so much that can be done.  I've had the problem of two possible names as the spouse so I've added both.  The program really loves that <g>.  I've taken a few other liberties with FTM - both versions.  I've tried to do books, but have been overwhelmed at the material.  And I don't even have all I should.  Good luck to everyone.  RedFox

Hi RedFox

Mine is version 11, but the lineage box is still there - click on 'more' next to the person's name, and the 'more about' or facts page comes up. There are 5 boxes down the side, facts, address, medical, lineage and notes.
Hope that helps,
Barbara

Roobarb, that's when I get creative.  I've added a couple of items to my choices: fact, assumed name, church location [wedding info], can't think what else to cover unknowns like name changes, etc.  RedFox
