Yes, St Dubritius and St Dyfrigs are the same place ~ my parents married there and it's still there. Most of my RC Welsh relatives have been married there in recent years.

There are other spellings, too:
Eg. Dubricius and Dubric
Have a look here:
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11562a.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubricius

From Wikipedia:
Saint Dubricius (also known in his native Welsh as Saint Dyfrig and in corrupt Norman-French as Saint Devereux) was the 6th century evangelist of Ergyng and much of South Wales.

I understand that only a limited number of RC priests are also registrars, whereas most (if not all?) Anglican priests are also registrars. I think my cousins had to arrange for a separate registrar to 'conduct the civil marriage' ~ in a side chapel, perhaps, while the priest, of course, conducted the spiritual service.

Thanks for that. I know St Dyfrigs quite well, its just down the road from us. I thought it was likely to be the same place and, for once, the Welsh name is much easier to say ...and to spell.. than the latin!

I wonder if we might someday find a link between your in-laws and my ancestors. It's possible. ???

MOUNTAIN ASH: OUR LADY OF LOURDES 1874
That's the one. I have now seen one of the baptismal certificates.

I tried to find the church on Google maps ~ or a photo online ~ but to no avail??!!
Does anyone know exactly where it is, by any chance, please?

I missed it when I visited Mountain Ash in the summer :(
Thanks :)
