« on: Thursday 22 February 07 16:17 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

I am looking for a Julia Moriarty, from Kerry.  Might not show in the 1901 census, perhaps not born, but would show in the 1911 census.

Can anyone help??

Many thanks.

Philamena there is no 1911 census on line as yet they now state 1911 census will be online June 2007.

That's another problem.  Not sure whereabouts, but know she was born in Kerry and was working in England in 1928.  Just wanted to know if there was anyone about the right age in the 1911 census.
Thanks for your reply.

Philamena,
There are 9 Julia Moriartys' in the 1901 Census for Glanbehy or Glenbeigh as it is now known,District.
Ranging in age from 2 years to 100 years. There is a good chance your ancestor could one of these or Daughter of one. You will find that christian names are handed down over hundreds of years and makes life difficult for researching. My mother was a Moriarty from Mountain Stage a area of Glenbeigh and I have had dificulties in tracing family.
However all is not lost just put "Irish Genealogy Glenbeigh" into your search engine and you will find some 1901 and 1911 records for Kerry which you can search for free. Good luck if I come up with anything else I will let you know

Many thanks for your help. I will try that.

Which Moriarty are you researching?  I may also come across something that is helpful for you.

Have you found a Eunice Moriarty anywhere?
