Death Certificate
« on: Friday 23 February 07 11:51 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Have just received a death cert which states cause of death "Unknown" ???

this is 1911, seems strange to me, but perhaps wasn't unusual, anyone have any ideas.

Regards
Mike

Compare date of death and date of registration- if there's a gap perhaps body wasn't found for a while or perhaps it's just that doctor/cornoner couldn't ascertain cause of death.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks for your interest, death was registered day after death,
so would seem to indicate the latter.

Next suggestion is to check the local newspapers to see if there's any mention of the death. Smaller town somethings print more details than larger cities.
