Yes thats what I  thought,but if he was a Territorial man coming from Hatherton which I believe is Cannock way he would have been a 1/5th Btn man,not 8th which is a service Btn. Unless he transferred which doesn't seem to have happened given the information so far. Curious!

It was a moving experience - such a waste of so many young men!
