Hi I wonder is sks would look at the image for me please?

I'm looking at HO107/2422 , Etal, Ford, Northumberland

The first family is Mary SMALL and her four grown up children. I think it says Mary and James were born Ford, John Tweedmouth (in Durham??), Robert and Margaret, in Norham, Durham. Is that your reading?

Then the actual residence - I think it says Etal for the first word, but Etal What?!!

Someone with better eyesight, please look for me!

Etal today is a peaceful village, forming part of the Ford and Etal estate, which is very popular with visitors. In 2002 the Ford & Etal tartan was made public, created by the pupils of Ford first school. The river Till has had mills along it for many centuries, and nearby Heatherslaw Mill is still in operation, producing flour as well as containing a bakery and café. A light railway runs from the mill to the village. Etal is perhaps most famously known for its pub the Black Bull, the only thatched pub in the county.

I can confirm it is Etal Mill. The miller is on the previous page.

When the children were born, Tweedmouth and Norham were in the county of Durham, Ford was in Northumberland.

Mary and James were born in Ford, John in Tweedmouth, and Robert & Margaret in Norham.
