Hello Lesleyp1964,

It would really help to know where they came from and any other information you may have about them.  Do you know where they were born and their ages/ birth years.  Did they have any children with them or did they have children in the USA or all in Canada?  Once you fill in some details, we may be able to find where they lived on a census and get the date of their immigration.  Do you know when they died?  This sometimes gives how long they lived in Canada.  Any information you may have will be helpful.

Hi nancy,

george rumsey was born in london in 1869. Alice was born in london in 1870 , they married in london in 1895. they had 2 children , stan born in london/middlesex in 1901 , alice was born in  1888 I think. I think alice took stan , and alice to ontario[red river]?  and also had anither child whilst in canada, her name was winnie, I have written to winnie's grandson, a philip nesbit , in ontario asking for any info. I know george rumsey died in england in 1925, and alice died in 1938, I am not sure where though.

many thank's

lesley
