1891 census lookup please
« on: Friday 02 March 07 17:27 GMT (UK) »
Please could a kind person look up the details for these two people on the 1891 census - I have run out of SP credits again (they never last long with me!  ::) ;D) and would like to double check if they are related to my lot before I order any more! They should both be found living seperately in the Edinburgh area.

They are:

William Pollock (b. 1845 Glasgow) Hairdresser living in Canongate, Midlothian
and
James Pollock (b.1872) Relation to head of household: Soldier  - living in Midlothian

I would love to see which regiment it says for him as he may be related to my Glasgow Pollocks!

Many thanks in advance!

Hi Monica,

Thanks for the lookup!  ;D ;D That William (I really hope you meant William when you put "Joseph" ;) ?) could well be mine, definitely worth some more investigation! And thanks for looking up the regiment for James - my James was with that regiment, but at a much later date than that so that one probably isn't him. Thanks for saving me on some SP credits!  ;D

Best wishes,

Where did Joseph pop into the equation  ::) It was most certainly William with Margaret in Duddingston!
