GUY STONE, of Comber

Hi
Could some person please have a look in Comber Churchyard for a Grave stone of GUY STONE  and please send me the full inscription He died 16 June 1862, 54
late of Barn Farm, Comber.  He commemorated on a family vault in Dymock Churchyard, Gloucestershire. His wife was called Ann, she died in 1877 in Dymock and Samuel, son, JP, died in 1921 in Scotland

Also researching my wifes' ancestors, ORR & McCORMICK from the same area.

The inscription to Guy Stone in Dymock, Gloucestershire

In the memory the successive proprietors
Of the Brookend Farm, in this parish
who’s name are inscribed hereon
This tomb is erected over the ancient family
Burying ground by the lineal descendants and heir.
Guy STONE of Barn Farm, Count Down, Ireland
Ad 1846. The above named Guy STONE 16 June 1862, 54
And is interred at Comber Churchyard, Co Down
Anne, w, 11 Feb 1877, 75
Samuel STONE, JP, 7 Feb 1846 - 9 Jan 1921
Interred at Sorn Churchyard, s/o Guy & Ann STONE
Beneath remains the owners, successors and wives
of  William STONE and Joan his wife. He purchased the
above farm in 1464 and died about 1506
Guy STONE died 1550, Marjorie his wife
Roger  STONE died 1604, Joan his wife
Thomas STONE  died 1664  Alice his wife
James STONE, died 1684, Elizabeth his wife
Thomas STONE, unmarried, 1798
Elizabeth STONE, 1849 -1943
Interred at Comber Co Down, d/o Guy STONE
And last member of the STONE family of Brookend

St Mary's C of I, Comber, Co Down tombstones are listed in volumes 2, 5 and 13 of the series edited by Clarke RSJ. The inscriptions are also available as fee paid on the website History from Tombstones. Have you seen Ros Davies website freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rosdavies/SURNAMES/S/StiStr.  She has many good references

My wife has made some connection with the ones from Killyleagh and Killinchy. That is where most of them came from. All the information very much appreciated. We live to far to have a quick look, Staffordshire is home.
