(Somerset) 1841/1851 Census Lookup Requests For Rossiters Of Brompton Ralph

I am looking for information please about any Rossiter individuals or families born or living in Brompton Ralph.

Thanks for that.

It's a long shot. I found a family living there who were born between 1740 and 1760. As it was a large family ( at least 7 children) I was hoping to find their descendants.

From what you say it looks like there aren't any actually living there in 1841 & 1851 but is it possible to find Rossiters living elsewhere who were born in Brompton Ralph please?

these are the only rossiter baptisms at brompton ralph that i can see -
george rossiter baseborn bapt 22nd sept 1695 mothers name rachel and fathers name george tollman.living in wiviliscombe
the rest are all children of john and elizabeth rossiter
john bapt 16th feb 1744
william bapt 9th may 1745
betty bapt 11th dec 1746
austin bapt 24th oct 1748
robert bapt 7th may 1750
mary bapt 7th oct 1751
george bapt 4th dec 1752
mary bapt 8th july 1754
peter bapt 26th dec 1756

there are 2 rossiter marriages in brompton ralph -
sarah rossiter married hugh redwood 19th nov 1764 witnesses thomas poole and you guessed it william lerway .
rachel rossiter married robert amory 24th nov 1794 witnesses john amory and william lerway (possibly a paid witnes as he is the witness showing on many many marriages in brompton ralph  )
will have a look see if i can find where they all went might take a while but will see what i can do

ann no age listed buried 28th aug 1741
mary no age listed buried 3rd may 1741
mary no age listed buried 12th april 1752(this looks like the first mary listed in baptisms )
elizabeth no age listed buried 24th oct 1802 ( possibly mother elizabeth?)
john no age listed buried 29th jan 1761 possibly father john?)
robert  no age listed buried 24th march 1805

rachel and robert amory moved back to roberts abode in elworthy and they have 3 children baptised there-
john bapt 9th aug 1797
james bapt 26th april 1801 later found in stogumber on the 41 and 51 cencus can provide details if you want?

Can you post the information about Robert Amory & Rachel please?
 It will give me a year and place of birth for Rachel.

Did Hugh Redwood and Sarah have any children please? I hoping to find a possible date and place of birth for Sarah so I can trace her ancestors.

sarah and hugh redwood moved to chipstable in somerset and had these children-
francis bapt 20th dec 1772
hugh bapt 11th feb 1769
john bapt 1st dec 1776

hugh redwood buried 28th oct 1804 chipstable
sarah redwood buried 2nd oct 1800 chipstable

Shame there's no indication of date of birth for Sarah and Rachel Rossiter but I guess it's probably not recorded.

I'll have to work on another strategy. Thanks again for your help.
