Looking for the Morey family on the 1881 census,I have them on:

1871 census,
George Morey 28,( head) b/1843 Portsmouth, Hampshire,
Elizabeth, 28, (wife) b/1843 Pool Dorset,
Ellen, 7 (daut) b/1864 Portsmouth,
Dora, 4 (daut) b/1867 Portsmouth,
Charles,2 (son) b/1869, Portsmouth,
Occupation: Carpenter/Joiner,
Living: Portsea, Hampshire,

1891 census,
on this census Morey is misspelt as MARCY,
George 47, (head)  b/1844 Southsea,Hampshire,
Elizabeth 78,(wife) b/1843, Pool Dorset,
Charley 22,(son) b/1869 Southsea, Hampshire,
William C 12, (son) b/1879 Highgate, London,
Farmer 9, (son) b/1882 Highgate, London,
Occupation: Carpenter/Joiner,
Living: Hornsey,Middlesex.

1901 census,
George 57, (head) b/1844 Southsea Hampshire,
Elizabeth 58 (wife) b/1843 Pool Dorset,
Frank 29 (son) b/1872 Hampshire,
Louisa 25 (daut) b/1876 Hampshire,
Farmer 19 (son) b/1882 Highgate, London
Occupation: Carpenter/Joiner,
Living: Margate, Kent.

Judging by the births of William and Farmer they should show up on 1881 census for Middlesex or London, Ive tread every which way but can't find them. Has anyone got any idea why their not showing up or are they staring me in the face.

Just stumbled across your message - and you may well have sorted things out by now!

The birth of Farmer Morey (2nd c. 3x r.) was not registered until the first qtr of 1882 - the 1881 census took place on 3rd April.

Whilst that does not help to locate the family on the 1881 census, it should be possible to piece things together from other sources.
