LAIRD Family St Giles London Parish Records circa 1770

Hi

If anyone is looking at St Giles  circa 1770 could you look out for any Lairds.

My Elizabeth Laird married in 1792 in Gateshead Co Durham, her marriage record states native of St Giles London. Some of her kids baptism records tells me her dad was William Laird.

I would be inteersted in ANY Laird records as I need to build up who her family was.

Looking at early census records Im wondering if they were perhaps cabinet makers/journeymen carpenters who maybe came to Newcastle/Gateshead and returned to Holborn/St Pancras area, leaving isabella in Gateshead but this is pure speculation.

Hoping for Any Laird info.

I certainly do!
I have learnt quite a bit since my first post. I now know William laird was in the army- 86thregiment of foot. In 1776 he was in the london gazette was was sent to the Kings Bench prison in Surrey. I also know he was born in Perth Scotland circa 1845
By 1778 he was in gateshead Co Durham for the baptism of his son John.
Based on this im thinking he had my Isabella circa 1770-1776 in London and perhaps also married ther in the same time frame. Im thinking his wife may also have been called Isabella based on a burial I found but no evidence

Anything you can help with would be marvellous.

many thanks, any Laird mention will be of use Im sure- Id love to have something from before his demise to the debtors prison, although im very excited by having him there if Im honest.
