What sort of date? - you might find them in barracks in the census years

Do you have a particular name you are looking for ? - we could try the 1901 census to see if he is in the country

my ancestor is a sidney reynolds and i have searched the 1901 census to no avail but i know he was in banbury at that time i am at a loss, i think he was in the army hence the question, my grandfather was also sidney james reynolds, he was born 1903,i found his birth and death but thats all.

yes have tried from 1850-1901 cant understand it, some of my info must be wrong, but thanks for the website, did find one but no good, will try this one now, thanks for your help, kim.
