Here is attached a piece of the 1841 census so you can see it transcribed as Youens rather than Youers.

You're right, although I guess it could be an "r"

I don't know enough about the Buckinghamshire accent, do you know if saying Youers and Youens in a local accent sounds similar. It is very interesting to see that there are now to distinct families names in the Wycombe area, but I guess they are all connected.

I suspect that it is to do with the local accent, not that I know anything about the accent in Bucks.  But certainly I have a Risbridger family that became Rusbridge and I reckon that must be to do with accent too. 

Youen and Youer could well sound the same.
