Here's "Poul-na-Gurn Glengariff Killarney" - it's coming up to St. Patrick's Day.

And back across the water - The Tay Bridge. Total Cost 650,000 pounds. Those were the days!

And this one was obviously bought by a male "admirer". I hope he wasn't implying any resemblance between her and a battleship!

Your battleship reminded me of one I had, Didy  - this post card was written and sent by my grandfather to a sister as he travelled on the Orontes to Australia in 1911.

it was interesting to read what my grandfather wrote on the back. Here is a little exerpt that shows that although my grandparents were married, they did not get to share a cabin.

I have one of Sydney from the air - would love to know when that was!

The pic shows that the site now occupied by the opera house is still the tram shed - demolished in 1958. Also shown is the obvious bridge opened in 1932 . so that gives us a span of 26 years. I'm certain that someone will be able to narrow it down even further than 1932-58.
