I would like to buy the 1901 census and the national burial index but where will i get them from.Also does anyone know if there are any genealogy fares coming up in the north east of england.Thankyou.Anne.PS,how much roughly will these cost.

Hi Anne,

The National Burial Index is available from a number of sources.  It is published and sold by the Federation of Family History Societies, recommended price £45.  (http://www.ffhs.org.uk)
Other commercial genealogy suppliers sell it as well. e.g. S & N Genealogy Supplies - there is an advert for them at the top of some of these pages.  (http://genealogysupplies.com)
TWR Computing (http://www.twrcomputing.co.uk) also stock it.

Both of these companies also sell the 1901 Census for some areas of the country - go to their sites for latest availability, but be aware that the product you would be buying is the same one produced by S&N.  Prices vary for different counties, according to size.  You could always subscribe to Ancestry. Or use the National Archives online site.  Searching is free, you have to pay for the images though.  It depends how many images you want.  An average county costs £35 - £50 for 1901 for CD ROM versions and they don't come with an index!
