Hankey, Daresbury

Hi, Everyone,

I have recently started tracing my family roots, Hankey from Daresbury and the surrounding area.

So far I have managed to trace my great great grandfather, William Hankey, who was born in 1816 in Daresbury. He married Elizabeth Wild (date unknown) and went on to produce ten children, nine boys and one girl.

I would be pleased to hear from anyone who can offer further information particular where I might find his parents. I guess this will be from a Parish Register, but I am unsure as to where to start looking.

          Welcome to Rootschat  

First of there is a marriage indexed in Runcorn Cheshire for a William Hankey and Elizabeth Wylac (proberbly misread from Wyld) dated 22/August/1836.

Then in the IGI extracted from the parish records for Daresbury http://www.rootschat.com/links/0bq/
28/July/1811 a birth for a William Hankey, father Edward mother Betty.

Another extracted record in the IGI show a marriage at Warrington dated 27/Dec 1810 Edward Hankey, and Betty Cooper.

You can email the Cheshire record office at the address shown in the link at the bottom of my post, and ask them to confirm the details.

Thank you for your welcome and reply. I have found some very useful information regarding William & Elizabeth. They produced TEN children,
9 boys and a girl.
