Hi Gereon,

1901 census:
RG13/4764, folio 68, page 28

Durham, Winlaton, Smailes
Dip Wood

Walter Dixon, h. mar. 36, Ship Stone Merchant, Scotland
Helen,  wife, 36, b. Gateshead, Co. Durham
William G. son, 3, b. Newcastle, Northumberland
Kenneth J. son, 1, Rowlands Gill, Durham
Elizabeth Cook, serv. unm. 21, Cook, Domestic, b. Prudhoe, Northumberland
Mary Towler, serv. unm. 23, Housemaid, Domestic, b. Wylam, Northumberland
Ethel Endean, serv. unm. 26, Nurse, Domestic, b. Cramlington, Northumberland

This is the only contender that appears to be there - next step
would have to be the marriage certificate to confirm parents. Apologies for
stating the obvious .. ..

Kind regards,

Pels  :)

Were the names of Helens' parents Charles and Emma Guthrie McAllum?

If so I will be quite happy post further census details.
