While scrolling thro' past messages I saw a request for records for Middlewich cemetery and thought they were brilliant. Question. Are there records like this available for other cemetaries in Ches.?

Betty
Do you mean you saw a request for a burial look up in a cemetery? If so then yes all councils have burials  records on film (up to certain years) in the main library reference room.In the area,as long as you know the year and possibly religion and you know that the burial is in the cemetery they can be found..You  can look on the film on a special machine called a film reader.Which you can use for 2 hours for 50p you can do a lot for that ;D

I think Betty was referring to the fact that many Middlewich Cemetery records are on line -- I have gone and lost the link now as the site has moved recently....

Many thanks for the Middlewich link, Sandy. I wish there were a whole lot more like this, like Betty.

Hi Celia, Galaxy Jane and Sandy,

Yes it was this link to which I referred . I know that I sound like an idle hound, but it was so useful and quite disappointing to find that these were the only records on line like this. Some kind person did us a huge favour by putting them on.Many thanks for the trouble taken to answer my question all of you.

Sincerely
Betty P
