Hi,

I am looking for information please about the parents, siblings and children  of Thomas Rossiter born circa 1857 in Liverpool.

I have fragments of information about this family which I am trying to reconstruct into its family tree.

Any information would be greatly appreciated please. TIA.

Best wishes

Hi Suz,

Thanks for that. This family look promising though I did not know about the link to Birmingham.. Did the 1861 Census show the age of Thomas's father please?

Thomas born 1857 became a carver and gilder, which is not farfrom what his father did. It'll be interesting to see what the other censuses turn up.

Best wishes

Hi Suz,

Thanks for that. Thomas married Alice Maud Thornley so your earlier posting could well be them.

Looks like we are on the right track.

Best wishes

Here's Thomas in 1901
10 Candlich St(?) follows on from McLeod St)
Everton
Thomas Rossiter 44 Timber salesman
maud 43
Walter 19 Labourer Timber
Ethel M 13
Thomas 11
Alice J 8
Dorothy J 6
Maud f 4
Edith 2

RG13 3485 198 35

can't find them in 1871

1851 there is a Thomas abt correct age but born Ireland

1841 there is a Thomas abt correct age b. Liverpool with parents Nicholas and Mary -but can't find that family in 1851!!!

Think "John I" (thomas  junr brother ) -on 1851 could be John J- there are 3 births on FreeBMD Sept qtr 1858 Liverpool for John James Rossiter and John J Rossiter

Possible death for Thomas (snr)
FreeBMD
Thomas Rossiter
Jun qtr 1869
age 35
Liverpool
8b 202

maybe fresh eyes could fill in the gaps

will take another peep tomorrow

Cheers,
Suz
