Edward Fradley's death 1853?
« on: Monday 26 March 07 22:58 BST (UK) »
Hi
I'm looking for Edward Fradley's death and place of burial  which occured between him getting married on 20th May 1853 and the birth of his son (also Edward) on 23rd December 1853.

A good and bad year for him!!

He married Elizabeth Oakden b. 1828 ish  who came from Hanging Bridge and there are connections with Mayfield and Clifton.

Hi Bert,
There is a death reg for an EDWIN FRADLEY in the Dec Q 1853 in Uttoxeter - 6b-131 (very difficult to read!)

I have often seen Edward and Edwin interchanged.

Does this look any good?

Many thanks for your time but I have the birth cert for Edwin and he was only an infant. At that time 1853 my Edward should be around 23 years old

Hi Pam

Edward (senior) married Elizabeth Oakden on 20th May 1853 but their son was born in December that year so they probably ran away to get married as son also Edward was on the way!!!

My problem is Edward senior, I have the marriage cert but on his sons birth cert just a few months later he is down as deceased and my problem is that their are no records of his death or burial
Great to hear from down under

HI Terry,
I was thinking along the same lines as Pam, do you think after having to marry Elizabeth he decided to do a bunk, leaving Elizabeth with no alternative other than to say he'd died..

I think that is more than possible but he had to die sometime and I've spent nearly two years trying to find him, he's becoming an obsesion!!!
