Marriage look up 1908 - Merthyr Tydfil

The following marriage is extracted from the IGI :

Frederick Charles Philo born 1886, married Miriam Evans, born 1886.   Married 21 January 1908 in Merthyr Tydfil.

I am trying to find the place of marriage, church, etc and wonder if anyone can help me, please?

I cant see it in the IGI - but heres the Civil Registration marriage Index entry ... obtaining the Cert would answer your Q.

edit - the link didn't work! but I looked up Frederick Philo, found Frederick Sidney  Thomas Philo, found in Ancestral File,
born 11 Mar 1924,died Oct 1979 parents, Frederick  Charles Philo and Miriam Evans, click on family, which will take you to the page of the parents and their parents, they married 21 Jan 1908, Merthyr Tydfil as you stated above.
As this gives you Frederick Charles parents and also Miriam Evans parents details, the marriage cert won't give you much more info apart from their address at the time of marriage, the witnesses to the marriage and the fathers occupation, which you could find with the census?

Thanks Newbie, very kind of you to go to all that trouble and research.   I have the names, dates etc but just to complete my family history I wanted to record the church name rather than just the date.

Before spending £7 I thought it might be possible to find the church name by other means, obviously not?

The Church wiill / should be on the Cert - shame whoever did all that work in the LDS site didnt include it ...
