Hi Annejay

Just trying to help you get a better response to your post. It would help people if you could add some details to your names: family groups with names/approx. dates etc .

Regards.

Monica

Hi Monica,
What I have goes like this
Robert Jamieson married Helen Telfer  11 Nov 1787 Dumbarton. The only offspring I have found is daughter Janet Jamieson who married John Sullivan in 29 april 1815 at Port Glasgow Renfrew. Two  of the children born there were Helen Sullivan 23 feb 1816 Dumbarton and Janet Sullivan christened 9 June 1820 Port Glasgow. Are these places close together? The other children all born in Liverpool where John Sullivan is listed as Mariner.

Hi Annejay

One more child showing for Robert and Helen, who could given the date of their marriage have been their first born son:

28/09/1788   JAMIESON WALTER      ROBERT JAMIESON/HELEN TELFER FR649   M   Dumbarton/DUNBARTON   Refs: 496/ 0030 0048

Also, one more child showing born in Scotland to Janet Jamieson and John Sullivan:

JOHN SULLIVAN  Christening: 26 AUG 1818 Port Glasgow, Renfrew, Scotland

Have a look at this site www.scotlandsfamily.com/gazetteer.htm  If you click on the map tabs on the l/h side for county and parish maps you will get your bearings!

Regards.

Monica
