Joseph Walker who married Rebecca Sargeant in 1812

& the John Walker who was witness to marriage of Jeremiah Partridge & Martha Presland

On the I.G.I.
Alice is the daughter of John and Rebecca (Wilkins) baptised 28 Jul 1771 at Wymington.
James is the son of the above couple born in 1784?

On the Northants Bap Indexes.

Rebecca is also a daughter of John and Rebecca (Wilkins) baptised at Wollaston on 27 Oct 1785.

On the Northants Bap Indexes.

There is a Joseph (3 Nov 1793) and John (12 Apr 1795)  Walker
both baptised at Strixton to parents William and Elizabeth.

As to John Walker on the marriage of Jeremiah which was in 1779
in Wollaston is I have no idea I am afraid.

prob no help to u, but my maiden name was Partridge.  we came from the shrewsbury area. have been doing fam history over there.  how far have u gone back.

James who married Mary Walker in 1807 ended up in Northill in Bedfordshire.  I have been through this family on the Bedfordshire lookups and if you look you will find it.  I had James and his brothers and sisters with different parents and had to delete the whole lot out of my tree.  They may link up with my Sargeants somewhere further back.

my grand father and great grand father were called James Partridge but they were both born in Shrewsbury.  my g grand dad James's dad was called William and his mom was Mary going back to 1789 all from Shrewsbury.

will probably be related but going back to day 1

John Serjeant, of Wymington, bach; married Rebekah Wilkins, spinster of Poddington, at Poddington on 25 Nov 1770. Still at Poddington James Serjeant, bach; married Mary Wilkins, spinst, on 17 May 1772. Both of Poddington.  

Hello MollyMandy - sorry I have no links to the Partridges of Shrewbury. All my family are from the North Bedfordshire area (and across the fields to Northamptonshire) & have got back to early 1700's

Hi Craftyp - yes I've seen your posting on the Beds page - & was interested in the Sargeant/Walker combination as I've come across those names before.

From another data source (the pile of paper in the cupboard !) I have it that John Partridge (who married Alice Sargeant) was born 1772 & died 1830. His parents were John Douse Partridge (1745 - 1812) & Ann Lamb who married at Wollaston on 9 Oct 1771. His parents were Jeremiah Partridge (1720 - 1794) & Lydia Douse (1722 - 1800) who married at Bozeat on 23/07/1744.
