Harriet Jones, Born 1831 Malta

I want to find out more about Harriet Jones who was born in Malta in 1831. I know that her parents were James and Mary Jones. And I believe that she marries Joseph Churcher on 16th October 1852 (this info was found on a malta family history website)

I know that she died before 1861 as Joseph married Emma Greenfiled this year. Ideally I would like to find out when Joseph and Harriet married and when and how she died. They had a son called Joseph Herbert who was born in 1857.

Any thoughts would be apreciated

Hi Laura,

Was her father serving in the army when she was born on Malta?

 I contacted the registry office in Valetta and paid a small sum for them to look for a death certificate which they duly did.  If she was married there you will be able to ask for a copy of thier marraige cert

There death certs are huge about 4 times ours an give loads of info, even the time of eath.

I should have the details somewhere, if not I have some friends there, I can ask them. There is a Genealogist there but I never had reply from her.

I know very little about her, as my connection is with Joseph Churcher. Joseph was an engineer and worked on various ships, I am guessing that he may have met Harriet when in Malta with his shjp, as he was born and lived in England.
