Robert BARNETT/ Charlotte CRAMP COMPLETED
« on: Thursday 05 April 07 10:57 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I have not been able to progress with a branch of my tree for a long time, so thought i would have another go. I have been able to get back to a Robert Barnett abt 1814 Heckington, Lincs. He married 29 May 1834 Surfleet to a Charlotte Cramp abt 1809 Pinchbeck.Thats as far back as i have been able to go, i have got names of their children. I have Roberts death as 1872 Spalding and Charlottes as 1866 Spalding, can anyone help me progress to siblings or parents of this family.
Thank you

The IGI at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true

Has a Robert BARNATT bap 25 Dec 1814 Heckington, son of Mary BARNATT (ie illegitimate)

There was a child of same name bap there in 1813, but he seems to have died in 1827 (son of James and Ann)

It's possible that Mary BARNETT was bap 1787, a child of Robert BARNETT.  He had several children with two wives - Elizabeth (up to 1787) and Mary (1788 on).  This may explain how Mary's son came to be called Robert.
