Hi Suz
You have done fantastic. This must be them as Henry was a mechanic on the marriage certificate. Charlotte was married to John T Grice on the 18th Dec 1882 at Radford, Notts.
I wonder where Artichoke Yard was in Grantham? I wish there was an old map of the Town.
Yes please I would like them Please :D

I wonder where Artichoke Yard was in Grantham?

Possibly behind the Artichoke pub - http://www.georgianhomes.com/properties.html

It even gives you the address.

Hi naffigirl,
Maybe this will help to find Artichoke yard?
Enumeraters walk 1871
15 Vine St
4 & 5 Houghton's Yard
Swinegate-Artichoke inn
11 Swinegate
1 to 8 Artichoke yard
1 to 4 Marshall's yard
12 to 21 Swinegate
1 Chapel St

Wonder if Artichoke yard was cottages built back of/adjoining Artichoke Inn ???
Just a guess??

ages (and some names) are a little vague, as census entries must have been made using a poker!!!!!!

Possible death for Henry
FreeBMD
Henry A Walker
Dec qtr 1913
Nottingham
age 78
7b 401

I can't successfully locate Henry in 1861 (or his marriage to Elizabeth)
Wondered if he had been married previously?
There is a marriage Basford dist 1861 of Henry Asa Walker -but not enough brides to tell who he married ???? Maybe it is his marriage to Elizabeth???

Hope this helps
