« on: Saturday 14 April 07 13:09 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have a grgr grandfather Charles Henry Verity who died in Bridlington Quay in 20 February 1899 received his death certificate today and his place of residence was,
Waterdale, Trinity Road, Bridlington Quay, just wondered if anybody had any ideas where he could/would be buried in Bridlington.

He isn't buried with the rest of the family in Doncaster

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Jo,
2 places srping to mind, firstly, he could be buried in the churchyard of Bridlington Priory Church, where there are a lot of graves very closely packed together, but there are a lot of headstones in good condition.
secondly, there is a very, very large cemetery in Bridlington, I wandered around it a few years ago, but can't remember the name of the road it is on.

There may be other places he could be buried, I'm not overly familiar with the burial grounds in Brid.

sorry, I can't be of more help
Bee

 Hi Jo Jo
I think the name of the cemertery  you seek is Sewerby Road cemetery itis situated on Sewerby Road Bridlington. There are a good few old graves  in  it..Good Luck with your research..

Thanks to you both for taking time to answer my ?

I did look round the Bridlington Priory a few weeks back, nothing there, though there is a Church on Quay Road in Bridlington, but looks like all the headstones have been removed.

Will try the Sewerby one next time Im over there

I even went into Tourist Info and asked for the list of Churches!!

Thanks again

Jo
