Hi
I wonder if someone would be able to do a passenger look-up for me please?

Fred/Frederick GRIFFIN was born Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England on Jul 27th 1893. Family lore has it he emigrated in 1913, I do know he was in Canada by March 1916 as I have his Attestation papers for the COEF. Fred married Gladys Boiston in Toronto 20th Jun 1821.

There is no indexed source for passenger look-ups during this period as yet. 

You can check the ships lists yourself at http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/passenger/001045-130-e.html

Since you have a year to go by, you have already significantly reduced your search list.  But check out this post to learn Nancy's trick of using the Canadian site and ancestorsonboard in tandem to further narrow the search...

On findmypast there is 2 possibilities....1 is a Fred Griffin age 22 in 1914,  seems to be travelling with a Mr. W. Griffin..the age isa bit out though?

The 2nd is a Fredk Griffin age 19 (occ farmer)  in 1913,  from Hampshire to Quebec,  seems to be travelling with  a Miss Edith Griffin (occ servant)

Fred Griffin age 22 in 1914 does look good despite the slight age descrepancy - especially the travelling with Mr W Griffin, as I know Fred's brother William went to Canada in 1911. Not so sure about the other one - the only occupations I have for Fred are Salesman and Storekeeper and I don't know a Miss Edith Griffin (do know a Mrs though as William married Edith Hockin)

The Fredk travelling with William .....WIlliam is aged 28 and Occupation a Draper  they travelled on the TEUTONIC and left Liverpool on the 18th April 1914 for Montreal, Canada

I've PM'd my email address. I'm not sure if this is my Fred as William is too young but maybe he is an as yet unknown cousin, so well worth a look. I had narrowed it down to the Teutonic using the link kindly given by MJP but hadn't found them despite going through the images for the 4 sailings of the ship that year - so you will be saving my eyes going even more boggly
