William Henry Mudie married ? Swann, look up please

We are yet again ready to scream I can not find any thing on William Henry Mudie born approx 1903 in Birmingham except he served in the Royal Hampshire Reg, we know who his children are but we are also stuck on the childrens mother, we know her surname is Swann, we know she was known as Lilly Elizabeth Swann, we think that she was older than William, we also known that she was from around the Birmingham area?
If anybody has come across her please could you let me know.
I have been looking for this woman for 2 years now.

2 possible births for Lily in the right area:

Births Mar 1896   (>99%)
SWANN    Lily Elizabeth        
Birmingham 6d 145

Births Sep 1900   (>99%)
SWANN    Liliy Elizabeth        
Birmingham 6d 192

I can't see a birth reg for William Henry MUDIE anywhere in the country around 1903, though....  ???

Their eldest daughter Edna Mudie was born in 1926 in Birmingham, so I would imagine they were married at least a year before.
I seem to grind to a holt with this family.

William could possibly been born early 1904, this is hard as most their children died young and the ones which are left seem to have forgotten everything or gone into hidding, they had a son Alan who has fallen of the face of the Earth too.

I still haven't come up with anything concrete for William's birth, but I suggest you get a copy of his marriage cert as shown in my previous post, as this will give his age and father's name/occupation.  With that info, we can look for his family on census.  It will also confirm which is the right Lily Elizabeth Swann!

Anyway, i meant to say that i have just gone through quarter by quarter Births
from 1901 - 1905
i can't see any William Mudie except for one born in Hartlepool .
