I am looking for Peter Murphy born 1865 in Scotland but living in Cumberland in 1881 census (father Michael). Does anyone have access to him in the 1891 and 1901 census? Cass

The 1901 census is a possiblility as Peters nephew Michael moved to Manchester??? Cass

Thought that the Peter Murphy on 1901 census in Manchester (police constable) was mine but have found info on that gentleman. Apparently he was born in Caithness, Scotland and mine was born in Calderbeck, Lanark. Also I beleive mine to be RC when the one on the 1901 census was free church. Can't seem to find him elsewhere and if his birth was put down as Ireland instead of Scotland. On the 1901 census his sister Sarah's birth place was recorded as Scotland and she was actually born in Ireland. Also he might have died before then??? Will keep looking. Cass
