Hi Shyrlee

Do you have a time frame ?

An August Henry Herman BUGGELN married  Elizabeth Ann MARSH in 1884 but neither is not listed on 1893 electoral roll, however an August and Elizabeth MEYER are listed residing at Little River.

The burial of Elizabeth Ann MEYER in the Sydenham cemetery on 12 June 1919 is recorded on the Christchurch City Council Cemeteies database but there is no sign of August.  http://librarydata.christchurch.org.nz/Cemeteries/

Archives NZ also list a copy of her probate. http://www.archway.archives.govt.nz
Living in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Hi Alamar, just arrived home to your e-mail.
I have quite a lot on the Buggeln Family...Herman, with all his names, died 11 September 1938, aged 81 and is buried in the Oxford Cemetery.

Somebody contacted me a few years back about this family and I lost their telephone number. Was it you? Hope so.

If you are in Christchurch my number is (removed to prevent misuse) but I won't be home until late tomorrow as my husband and I are connected with the ATC Cadets and will be attending several Anzac Parades.

I will be quite happy to share my information with you.

Regards
Shyrlee

I have removed your tel number, if you want it put back I will, but wouldn't advise it.

Sorry Shyrlee it was not me who contacted you earlier. My wife has a German/ Polish bacground beginning with the arrival of the vessel Fritz Reuter in 1876. I also have a degree in German and therefore take particular note of germanic emmigration to NZ.

Hi Alamar
I added my phone number to my last letter to you but it was removed as they stated it wasn't a safe thing to do.

Where are you?
Are you doing the Buggeln Tree? If so I may be able to help you with the New Zealand Information.

When Herman's family left from Berlin to go to London was there anything drastic happening in Germany at that time? Herman was born London 1858, my records show he came to New Zealand 1859 onboard the 'Regina'. Name change to Meyers, 17 October 1901. This was after he married and had children.
