a long shot but............

............. any help with this would be fantastic but a long shot I know.
Ok I now know I had a half brother whom died before I was born, he was in the army but doing what and which reg I have no idea. He spent a lot of time in the far east I think as we had lots of photos of him and things that he brought back, I have his name dob and place of birth bt how would I find his army records?
joseph Foxon born approx 1942 died 1966 born in coventry

he died age approx 24 was he still in the services when he died
if he was ,his death certificate should say who he was serving with under occupation or have you considered looking through the local papers for his obituary his milatary service might be mentioned there  ;D
