Hi
I have been looking on the passenger lists for Ellis Island but cannot find some Witcombe family members listed - but I know they went to live in the USA (Washta)? 1900 - 1920s.

Any ideas where I might find info on them.

Angela, not all immigrants went through Ellis Island.  At ancestry.com they have a large immigration collection which can be searched free until 30 April.

Just had another search on Ancestry and found Job crossed from Canada!!!!

Apparently it was cheaper to go via Canada - don't know whether that was a consideration for Job or not.
