Defensible Barracks, Pembroke Dock
In Memory of the 19 soldiers who died following an explosion at the Defensible Barracks, April 1942.

For all who wish to take part:
Please assemble at the Defensible Barracks by 10.30 am. Parking will be available inside the Barracks Square only up to 10.30 am (there is no alternative parking nearby).
Service commences at 11 am and will involve local churches, the Royal British Legion (County and local branches) and their Standards; Regimental organisations; Pembroke Borough Silver Band.
A plaque will be unveiled and dedicated.
After the service refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to tour parts of the Barracks, courtesy of the owners, Mr and Mrs Doug Jones and family, to whom grateful thanks are extended for all their help and support.
For the Families and Close Relatives:
A private visit to the Military Cemetery, Llanion, Pembroke Dock, where 17 of the Servicemen are buried, will take place prior to the service.
If you wish to join this please meet at the Defensible Barracks by 9.30 am. Transport will be provided to the Cemetery.
You are welcome to bring flowers or wreaths. Poppy crosses will be available, courtesy of the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock Branch of the Royal British Legion.
Following the service Refreshments will be served and there will be opportunities to tour part of the Barracks, again with thanks to Doug Jones and Family.
