Past Mayoresses of Sydney

Does anyone know if records exist listing the names of past mayoresses of Sydney from about 1910 onwards up until about 1960

Any info would be fantastic.

These records will be with the City of Sydney Archives. You can email them at archives[at]cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au

They will reply, telling you if the information is available and advising you of a fee, if applicable, for the research.

If you live in Sydney, you can go to the Archives at the Town Hall, but you need to make an appointment first.

Thanks for your help.  All we know is that my husband's G Grandmother was rumoured to have been the mayoress of Sydney - so yes it is wives we are wanting.

I presume then that it was a different marriage/husband to your husband's g grandfather - hopefully you could find the marriage & then check the mayors
