Knaresdale Baptism Look Up Please

I have an ancestor John Parker who was baptised on 26 Jul 1675 at Knaresdale St Jude - could someone please confirm his father's/parents' names.

I have a John Parker whose father I have as Randall Parker of Knarsdale.  John married Martha Dixon & I have 10 children for them.  I have a copy of John's Will, dated 3rd October 1748.

We appear to have a few surnames in common so perhaps there is a connection.

Yes this is the same person - I too have the will.  I'm descended from his daughter Martha.

In fact I now realise that I must have copied the baptism from someone, but it doesn't exist as the registers only start in 1695.

You may be interested to know that John had a previous wife - a Jennet Dixon - with whom he had 4 children.  They married in Castle Carrock.

I received Randall's name from a lady named Kath Liddell, who has done extensive Parker research with Glenn Parker in Canada.  You may find the following link concerning them interesting:

I also noticed you have a Gilchrist connection in Northumberland.  I have Gilchrist ancestors from Haltwhistle & South Shields.

Randall is a supposed father for John Parker as at one time he is refered to as Randy's John, but that could also be the name of an employer.  It is a shame the rcords don't go further back!
